Coyote News Digital Editor
Coyote News Anchor
Host and Producer of Face to Face
From a very young age I have expressed an interest in writing. Learning how to turn that passion into a future career has been an exciting adventure. I am a senior at the University of South Dakota, double majoring in Journalism and English. I work as the digital editor for our student media platforms. I'm also the host and producer of our new platform Face to Face and our head news anchor for Coyote News. Throughout college, I hope to hold internship positions at newspapers or magazines around the state to further determine which career path I want to take. After graduation, I hope to work for a major newspaper or magazine publication and publish a novel.
Throughout my work as sports designer for The Volante as well as previous courses I have taken, I've become proficient in designs projects within Adobe Indesign.
I have taken video courses to familiarize myself with Premier. I also use Premier edit new stories for Coyote News and edit interviews for Face to Face content.
During my time at college, I have taken a video production class as well as filming for Coyote News. Through Coyote News I have learned how to film and edit video.

Journalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air.
